Position Summary

Provide customer service and manage the placement and negotiation processes with insurers.

Your taskes

  • Placement (underwriting)
  • Customer service
  • Development of business relationships with insurers

Tasks related to placement (underwriting)

  • Ensure that the necessary renewal documents are up to date for the meeting with the client
  • Receive underwriting and update information for renewal and new business
  • Transmit/communicate renewal and new business information to insurers
    Negotiate terms and conditions with insurers
  • Compile and analyze terms and conditions received from insurers
    Prepare a summary of market results to the GC as required
  • Coordinate and prepare documentation required to finalize the submission of renewal terms or quotes

Customer Service Tasks

  • Contact clients during the term to follow up on outstanding issues (signatures, documents, etc…)
  • Answer questions from customers during the term
  • Analyze and comment on customer quotes/contracts/miscellaneous documents to identify insurance issues (as needed)
  • Process insurance certificate requests
  • Receive and process various mid-term change requests and identify new needs as required
  • Prevention and recommendations: reception, summary analysis and follow-up

Develop business relationships with insurers

  • Participate in networking events with insurers

Job Requirements

  • Education in administration, finance, insurance or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience in administrative and office support
  • Experience in the property and casualty insurance or construction industry (an asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of underwriting (an asset)
  • Hold an AMF license in property and casualty insurance (an asset)
  • Be bilingual in English and French
